LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has announced that it will promote this summer’s highly anticipated Live Earth concerts in London and New York on 7/7/07 on behalf of Live Earth founder and Control Room CEO Kevin Wall.
The 7-continent, 24-hour Live Earth concerts were announced earlier this week. Confirmed headliners for the London event at Wembley Stadium include Genesis, Beastie Boys, Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Bloc Party, David Gray, Foo Fighters, Razorlight, Paolo Nutini, Keane, Snow Patrol, Damien Rice, Black Eyed Peas, Corinne Bailey Rae, James Blunt and John Legend.
The New York concert at Giants Stadium will feature The Police, Roger Waters, Smashing Pumpkins, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Fall Out Boy, Kelly Clarkson, Ludacris, Melissa Etheridge, AFI, John Mayer, Rihanna, KT Tunstall and Akon.
Live Nation played a major role in the recent Live8 concerts that were staged around the globe in 2005. The company staged the events in London, Philadelphia, and Berlin.
