Officer Cleared In G-Unit Pepper Spray Incident

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Six months after an off-duty Greensboro, North Carolina, police officer used pepper spray against an entourage following rapper The Game, a.k.a. Jayceon Taylor, internal affairs detectives have cleared the officer of any wrongdoing.

The Game was involved in the incident, after a mall security guard asked him to remove a disguise he was wearing.

“The guy had a mask on and wasn’t taking it off,” Sgt. Levester Thomas told the Greensboro News-Record. “It goes downhill from that point.”

Three police officers working an off-duty assignment at the mall called for backup as tensions flared, investigators told the paper. The Game was arrested for refusing to leave the mall despite security guard orders.

Though the rapper criticized police to news crews at the jail, he never filed a formal complaint about the incident.

A member of The Game’s entouraged filmed the entire incident as it unfolded, and included the footage in a DVD titled “Stop Snitchin/Stop Lyin.” The website described the incident as The Game “being wrongfully arrested and brutalized by the police in North Carolina.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
