ORLANDO, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The arena formerly known as the TD Waterhouse Centre will be getting a new name in the near future, but for now, locals are content just calling the facility, “The Arena.”
The Orlando Magic said their contract with the sponsor ran out November 24th, and they’re in talks with two companies to secure a new naming rights deal. TD Waterhouse was sold to Ameritrade in January, and the new company ordered the city to quit using the name by the end of the month.
Last week, Orlando draped huge tarps over the 10-foot-tall TD Waterhouse Centre signs that adorn three sides of the structure.
