Prince's Triumphant Return To Streaming

DETROIT (CelebrityAccess) — Nielsen Music reported Thursday that Prince is doing big business after the late rock star's music saw wide release to major streaming services on Grammy night.

According to Nielsen, Prince's combined Sunday and Monday streaming totals topped 4.7 million, topping in just a few days the annual total for his previously available material.

While he was alive, Prince had a complicated relationship with both record labels and streaming and before he died, only his latest album “HITNRUN” was available to stream exclusively on Jay Z's TIDAL platform. Shortly after his death, his estate filed a lawsuit against TIDAL, alleging that the service had been streaming unauthorized music from his back catalog.
