LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — John Probyn, the longtime chief operating officer of Live Nation's UK offices has left the company.
According to Standout magazine, Probyn's new venture will see him managing operations at a new family event, The Sports Show. Probyn will manage the event's operations alongside of Ed Rusling, who founded the sports holiday firm SuperSkills Experiences, a producer of sporting holiday holidays.
Probyn had been with Live Nation since 2001, overseeing events such as Hard Rock Calling, and Wireless on behalf of the company.
“I am very excited to be joining the Sports Show, it’s a challenging project but I will be part of a world class team and the opportunity to deliver something that has never been done before was just too hard to turn down,” said Probyn in a press statement.
“My time at Live Nation has been fantastic, a real challenge, where we achieved a huge amount of success, however my focus and attention is now firmly on delivery the biggest sporting event that the NEC has ever seen,” said Probyn, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2012 UK Festival Awards," Probyn added. – Staff Writers
