CAPE CORAL, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In the wake a failed outdoor festival in Florida, vendors are weighing lawsuits to obtain refunds for desposits paid for booth spaces from the promoter, alleging they have not been reimbursed.
Promoted by Eddie Suarez Jr., The Sporting Adventure Expo was intended to be a three-day event with music and other entertainment staged at the Sun Splash Family Waterpark in Cape Coral and attract thousands of fans. However, while Saurez made a $2,000 deposit to the city for the event, he allegedly failed to secure headlining acts and the festival was eventually rescheduled to October, according to its website.
Now, many vendors who'd signed on for the event are reporting that Saurez are claiming that Saurez is refusing to pay refunds.
“I gave $185, but I don’t think I’m getting anything back,” Thomas Green the owner of Sticks Cigar Co told the local News Press. “I’m going to take him to small claims court. It’s a pain in the butt, but you can’t let people keep doing this stuff.” – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
