The four original Sex Pistols — vocalist John "Rotten" Lydon, guitarist Steve Jones, bassist Glen Matlock and drummer Paul Cook — will reunite for a North American tour kicking off August 20 at Boston's FleetBoston Pavilion and winding down September 7 at the San Diego Street Scene. The Sex Pistols first toured America 25 years ago, a tour that ultimately ripped the band apart; they later played over 30 sold-out shows in 1996 as part of their hugely successful “Filthy Lucre” World Tour.
Having played a unique Silver Jubilee celebration show in London’s Crystal Palace Stadium in 2002, they followed it up in the States by headlining the KROQ Inland Invasion Festival, where the band were supported by acts such as Offspring, Blink 182 and Bad Religion.
