(CelebrityAccess News Service) — The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is looking to sell its naming rights to the right corporate sponsor. Bruce Lucker, chairman of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Foundation, said they
want a 10-year agreement with a minimum of $250,000 a year, reports the St. Augustine Record.
"Although we believe the amphitheater offers many outstanding benefits to corporate sponsors, it is not in our interests to have a facility that is overwhelmed by advertising signage and slogans," Glenn Hastings, executive director of the amphitheater, said in a statement.
The county-managed facility will undergo a $4.4 million renovation that will increase the
seating capacity to 5,400 and is expected to attract about 300,000 patrons a year. Renovations start this summer.
In 2001, the then 36-year-old amphitheater underwent a $3.5 million upgrade.
