VERNON, CT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Two major players in the secondary ticket market have signed off on a deal to connect their two exchanges, allowing for real time information on ticket inventories between the two companies.
According to Ticket News, the deal marks the most significant collaboration between the two companies and was the result of months of negotiation and technical development work. The new agreement will allow brokers to quickly list tickets in both marketplaces with just one upload of listings.
The deal will also allow ticket buyers to see prices for tickets on both exchanges with updates to bids and prices displayed in real time.
"TicketsNow and TicketNetwork both came to the conclusion that consumers seeing inventory in real-time and transactions occurring on certified PCI (payment card industry) compliant Point Of Sale systems was paramount to consumer satisfaction," TicketNetwork founder and CEO Don Vaccaro said in a statement.
TicketNetwork is an independent secondary ticketing company which also stages the popular Ticket Summit conferences in New York and Las Vegas. TicketsNow is Live Nation's secondary ticket market outlet. – Ian Courtney
