Tiesto Sets Record In Lebanon

LEBANON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Although a number of music events have been canceled due to growing unrest in Lebanon, not everyone's dropping their dates there. Dutch trance DJ Tiesto performed on July 2nd at Edde Sands, a beach resort in Byblos Lebanon to a crowd of more than 20,000 fans, making for what has been reported as the biggest concert in Lebanon's history.

Tiesto held the previous record, playing to 16,000 fans in 2005 at the Forum de Beyrouth, an indoor exhibit hall.

Lebanese officials recently canceled a pair of festivals, the Beitedeen and Baalbek music festivals for the second year in a row in light of the increasingly unstable security situation there.

Tiesto, reportedly said it was one of the best concerts he had been involved in with outstanding organization, setup and crew. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
