SEOUL, SK (CelebrityAccess) – Universal Music Korea has promoted Bumjin Suh has been appointed Managing Director, effective immediately.
In his new gig, Suh will be responsible for both Universal Music Korea’s domestic and International labels, as well as overseeing the labels's roster of Korean artists. Suh will be based in the company's Seoul office and report to George Ash, President, Universal Music Australasia.
Suh came to Universal after a stint at digital provider SK Planet and has also previously worked for Korean telecommunications giant SK Telecom where he held several lofty roles. While the lion's share of his previous experience is in the tech industry, Suh is no stranger to the world of performing artists and started his early professional career in creative roles as an actor in musical theater, composer, singer-songwriter and music producer.
