SWANSEA, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Wonderland the Musical, a touring theatrical production based on the beloved children's books by Lewis Carroll, has pulled the plug on the remaining 24 dates of its current tour.
The decision to cancel the tour followed a financial dispute with Orbital Sound, a production equipment vendor who pulled their gear from production during the show's run at Swansea last week.
A statement from production company Wonderland the Musical Ltd said: “With immediate effect and a heavy heart, the remaining 24 performances of Wonderland in Wolverhampton, Richmond and Bournemouth have been cancelled.
“The decision to cancel the final three weeks of the tour has been a difficult one and one that has not been taken lightly. However, following a dispute with one of the show's ex suppliers, the producers of the show have had to consider the consequential effects for the remaining tour dates.”
A week's worth of performances at Swansea Grand Theatre had already been canceled, according to UK-based theatrical news source The Stage.
