What performer made the biggest impression over the holidays? Taylor Swift? Ed Sheeran and his No. 1 hit in England? Nope, it was an 8 year old New Jersey kid named Lucy Cardillo.
Lucy’s mom, Kelly, posted a Facebook video of her exuberant daughter performing at a Christmas play about two weeks ago, adding, “This is my daughter at her school Christmas concert. She brought the house down. See if you can guess which one she is.”
It’s pretty obvious. While the rest of the class walks its way through “Blitzen Boogie,” Lucy turns up the energy level to 11.
Since then, the video has been viewed more than 18 million times and shared nearly 250,000 times.
“I don’t know if she has any clue just how many people that is,” Kelly told Patch.com. “I’m having a hard time picturing it.”
Just a few of the thousands of positive comments include “Too cute Hollywood is waiting for her,” “That was great. Don’t know the little girl but she is awesome!!!!” and “Oh. My. WORD.”
