SANTA MONICA, CA (CelebrityAccess) – dick clark productions (dcp) has appointed veteran talent executive and event producer Patrick Menton as Vice President of Talent & Production at dcp.
Menton will oversee talent logistics and foster working relationships with artist reps and label teams for dcp’s portfolio of entertainment products, including the “American Music Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” “Academy of Country Music Awards” and a variety of other properties.
“I am honored to work for a company with such legendary archives,” said Menton. “These were the shows that I watched as a child that first ignited my dream to be a part of this business. I am thrilled to be joining the dcp family!”
Before he joined the dcp family, Mention worked in talent management on a number of dcp’s properties, including American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards, as well as the Grammy Awards, and the talent television program The X Factor and helped produce the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala.
As well, Menton has collaborated on numerous charitable benefits including Water Now and most recently the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief telethon which raised over $55 million.
Menton is a graduate of New York University’s Music Business Program and following graduation, he spent seven years at RCA Records, where he worked on international marketing campaigns for artists including Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, and Rod Stewart.
