LOS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Grammy Award-nominated rapper Logic has been lined up to perform at an outdoor concert to mark the opening of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The concert, which will be free and open to the public, will take place in Toshiba Plaza, located outside of the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 11, starting at 5PM.

Logic – the 27-year-old rapper born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II – broke free from the pack with his debut album Under Pressure in 2014 on Def Jam Recordings. Hailed as one of the year’s finest hip-hop debuts, Huffington Post crowned Under Pressure “2014’s Best Hip-Hop Album So Far,” iTunes named it “Best Hip Hop Album 2014,” Artist Direct called it “The Best Debut of 2014,” and MTV News nominated it as “Rap Album Of The Year Contender.”

Logic’s monster LP The Incredible True Story (November 2015) recounted a sci-fi space themed script that developed throughout the interludes on the album, and cemented Logic’s status as one of of the form’s more innovative artists.

The concert will serve as a kick-off to Hockey’s big game, featuring the Vegas Golden Knightsin their first playoff appearance as they square off against the Los Angeles Kings.

The performance will also serve as a rehearsal for Logic as he prepares to kick off an upcoming summer tour later this month in support of his latest mixtape “Bobby Tarantino II,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 last month.
