DETROIT, MI (CelebrityAccess) – Multi-Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and social activist Michael Bolton, will debut a brand new uplifting documentary entitled “American Dream: Detroit,” in theatres nationwide for one night only May 15th.
The documentary, which was produced by Passion Films and features native entertainment legends like Francis Ford Coppola, Jerry Bruckheimer, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, and Alice Cooper, is a love letter to the Motor City that not only illustrates why the history and the future of Detroit matters in the global landscape, but reveals how a new Detroit is being built by young visionaries and entrepreneurial moguls alike.
Told through Bolton’s own discovery of the city during research for his album A Tribute to Hitsville USA, this doc brings the city of Detroit into a brand new focus, moving away from a narrative of devastation and shifting into one of hope.
“This documentary is a truly inspiring tale of a city’s historical transformation that is certain to entertain, educate and move fans coast to coast,” said Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt.
In addition to the documentary, moviegoers will enjoy an exclusive performance from Michael Bolton & Friends, captured live from The Grove in Los Angeles.
