LONDON, UK (CelebrityAccess) – HMV has today announced its plans for Vinyl Week 2018. Scheduled to take place from Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 17, the event will coincide with the 70th anniversary of the vinyl LP format.
Following the record-breaking success of this year’s Record Store Day, which according to Nielsen generated a 23% increase in vinyl sales over 2017, HMV hopes to replicate the success by offering a number of exclusive vinyl releases of its own.
Exclusives include: Liam Gallagher’s As You Were (available for the first time as a picture disc), the soundtrack to Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels (pressed on black and gold splatter vinyl), as well as limited releases of the Proclaimers’ Sunshine On Leith (pressed on yellow vinyl), and Siouxsie & The Banshees’ Juju (pressed on gold vinyl).
Further exclusive releases will be made available between May 23 and May 31 while more than 100 titles will be on promotion across the company’s 120 UK stores.
