LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers announced that it will honor hip-hop trio Migos with the ASCAP Vanguard Award at the 31st annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Thursday.

Migos members Quavo, Offset and Takeoff are scheduled to attend the ceremony to accept the award. Past ASCAP Vanguard Award honorees include Kendrick Lamar, Beastie Boys, Taio Cruz, Diplo, Janelle Monáe, Santigold, Dua Lipa, St. Vincent, The Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Beck, and Bjork.

All three members of Migos hail from the Atlanta area and first made a name for themselves in the mixtape scene with their 2012 release “No Label.” In 2013, they staged an international breakout with their hit “Versace” and scored another hit in 2015 with “Look At My Dab.”

Other hit singles from the group include “Bad and Boujee,” which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it dropped in October 2016 and earned the group their first Grammy nod.

ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards event will also honor the popular 90s R&B group Xscape, who will be presented with the ASCAP Golden Note Award.

Other awards to be presented include Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song, Top Rap Song and Top Gospel Song.
