NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Sony Music Nashville has named Wendy Pearl as Vice President of Media Relations.
Pearl will take up her new duties officially on September 4th and will report to Allen Brown, Sony Music Nashville’s Senior Vice President of Media & Corporate Communications.
At SMN, Pearl will be tasked with creating media strategies and exposure for the label’s roster of artists.
Pearl most recently has been at the helm of her own public relations company, Wendy Pearl PR, but she is best known in the industry for the two decades she spent at the Country Music Association, serving ultimately as Vice President of Corporate Communications before leaving the association in 2017.
She’s also done stints as a reporter, including eight years at the Miami Herald.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with WENDY PEARL in various capacities for many years,” said Brown of Pearl’s appointment. “She embodies all the facets of a fierce advocate: exceptional written communication skills, strong musical context, a great sense of who artists are and why they matter, a tireless work ethic, and strong relationships with the media, business community, and fellow publicists.”
