HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (CelebrityAccess) Young Thug was reportedly arrested at a Dave & Busters Angeles during his own birthday party-slash-record release party in Los Angeles Aug. 16.
The Atlanta-based rapper, featured prominently on Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” was introducing his new album, Slime Language, at a private/invite-only event Thursday when he and two of his entourage were taken out of the restaurant/video game arcade and taken to the Los Angles Police Department’s Hollywood station, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, was booked on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and posted $35,000 bail a few hours later, according to CBS.
LAPD sources told the news station the rapper and someone who works with him have been the focus of an ongoing weapons investigation. The department put together a last-minute operation to take Williams into custody after the rapper tweeted an announcement about the location of the private party.
Police told CBS weapons were recovered.
