JAVA, Indonesia (CelebrityAccess) — Singer Mariah Carey will perform at a unique venue when she takes the stage for a concert at the iconic Borobudur Temple in Indonesia.
Borobudur Temple, a Unesco-protected World Heritage Center, is the largest Buddhist temple in the world.
Originally built in the 8th and 9th century, the temple complex was abandoned and hidden for centuries by volcanic ash and dense jungle before being rediscovered in 1814.
For the concert, which will is scheduled to take place on Nov. 6th, Carey will be backed by the HIMBARA Borobudur Symphony and the event is intended to raise the temple’s international profile.
The concert is being promoted by PT. Taman Wisata Candi, with Rajawali Indonesia Communication serving as consultants for the show.
