(CelebrityAccess) — While the Vans Warped Tour just wrapped its final year as a touring festival earlier this year, the event’s founder, Kevin Lyman, revealed he’s not quite done with the brand.
In a tweet, Lyman said he’s planning to stage what appear to be several Vans Warped Tour events to mark the festival’s 25th anniversary.
While he did not provide much in the way of specifics, he did provide some dates, noting that fans should hold vacation dates for June 8th in Cleveland, June 29-30 on the ‘eastcoast’ and July 20-21 on the ‘westcoast.’
The original Vans Warped Tour, which focused on alternative rock and punk, debuted in 1995 as the Warped Tour, in partnership with CAA and the late Warped Magazine.
Vans, who would become the tour’s titular sponsor, signed on the following year.
Late last year, Lyman announced that the 2018 Warped Tour will be the final year for the touring festival.
“I am so grateful to have worked with more than 1,700 bands over the last 23 summers,” Lyman said in his announcement. “I wish I could thank every band that has played the tour.”
Billboard was the first to report on the news of the revived tour.
