LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) Jeff Nickler, who recently exited a decade-long career at the SMG-managed BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla., has reportedly reemerged at the Oak View Group, where he will head the company’s 28-member Arena Alliance.
Nickler announced his departure as GM of the BOK last month and, although CelebrityAccess had recently learned that he had taken a position at OVG, the details were not clear until Nickler announced them to Amplify magazine earlier this evening.
“For me it was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” Nickler told the magazine. “I’m fortunate to be part of their positive disruption of business as usual in the sports and entertainment industry.”
Nickler will manage a network of arenas that houses more than 50 professional sports teams and will include OVG’s flagship projects like the reimagined KeyArena in Seattle. He will reportedly work with Eric Gardner, director of OVG’s director of booking and content, and the company’s Global Partnerships Division to develop sponsorship opportunities.
