VICTORIA, Australia (CelebrityAccess) One festivalgoer is seriously injured and two others are in the hospital after a truck rolled onto their tent at the Reainbow Serpent Festival in western Victoria, Australia.
A small truck rolled into the campsite around 5 pm. Thursday in Lexton, leaving a man in his 30s in serious condition, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. The man suffered injuries to his chest, legs, hand and face, an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman told the paper.
A woman in her 20s was taken to the hospital for serious injuries to her back and abdomen, and her condition has been upgraded to stable. A second woman is listed in stable condition with injuries to her back and hip.
“Our thoughts are with the injured and their families,” festival spokesman Tim Harvey told the Herald. “We know the entire Rainbow community will be thinking of them all weekend but it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this stage.”
The accident occurred a day after a suspicious fire broke out at the site of the festival, the second year in a row that a blaze threatened the event.
The festival lineup includes Milkman, Kali Z, Hugo & Treats and Mood Swing & Chevy Bass.
