SEVILLE, Spain (CelebrityAccess) — Viacom’s MTV announced that the network’s European Music Awards will remain in Spain in 2019, with the annual event taking place in Seville this fall.
The 26th annual return of the awards show will take place at Seville’s FIBES Conference & Exhibition Center on Sunday, Nov. 3.
“We are thrilled to land in Seville for the 2019 MTV EMAs,” said Bruce Gillmer, EVP of Talent & Music Programming at Viacom said.
“It’s a vibrant city with an incredible music culture that will be the perfect backdrop for this epic night of music,” he added.
The event in Seville marks the 4th time the EMAs have landed in Spain, with previous incarnations of the awards show taking place in Barcelona, Madrid and last year, in Bilbao.
Last year, the EMAs were hosted by Hailee Steinfeld and saw artists such as Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Camila Cabello taking home trophies.
The awards gala debuted in Berlin in 1994.
