Last week, he posted an update on Facebook, letting fans know his heart valve surgery had been successful and thanking fans for their support.
“Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend – and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job,” he wrote in the post.
The Stones were slated to begin a high profile North American tour, starting on April 20th, that included a performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, but were forced to cancel or postpone all of the dates while Jagger was treated for his heart condition.
As Rolling Stone noted, Jagger is expected to make a full recovery, with the band expected to pick up the thread of their tour in July.
