POSNAN, Poland (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation Entertainment announced today the acquisition of noted Polish promoter Go Ahead.
“We are excited to welcome Łukasz and his team to Live Nation. Go Ahead has brought many international artists to Poland over the years and we are confident about what we can achieve together in this new era for us” said Steven Todd, Managing Director Live Nation Central & Eastern Europe.
Go Ahead is a prominent club promoter, and has brought acts such as Wolf Alice, Khalid, Twenty One Pilots, Years & Years, George Ezra, Florence + the Machine and Tom Odell to the eastern European nation.
As well, Go Ahead organizes Spring Break, an annual 3-day music showcase festival and conference in Poznan, which is aimed at promoting Polish musical artists on the international stage.
Go Ahead was founded in 2005 by Łukasz Minta and Andrzej Jegliczka and is based in Poznan. Following the acquisition, Live Nation Poland will maintain a regional office in the city, as well as the company’s primary office in Warsaw.
“We have enjoyed many successes over the last few years. I’m particularly proud of Spring Break which has become a real platform for local artists, and a key date in the musical diary for Poland. We look forward to being a part of Live Nation, and hope that the combination of our team and the Live Nation infrastructure will keep the Polish audiences entertained for years to come” said Łukasz Minta, co-founder Go Ahead.
