COLUMBIA, MD (CelebrityAccess) — Now that the Woodstock 50 festival has finally found a home at the Merriweather Post Pavilion, organizers have hinted that tickets to the event will be gratis.
According to TMZ, sources said organizers plan to release seats to the festival, which is scheduled to take place from August 16-18, free of charge.
The sources said that the festival will be billed as a charity event with people who receive tickets invited to donate to their favorite causes.
However, it is unclear how the free tickets to the festival will be distributed.
Woodstock has also yet to confirm an artist lineup, with several of the previously announced artists on the lineup, including Jay-Z and John Fogerty dropping off of the bill.
ate last week, Billboard revealed that all artists have been released from their contracts in relation to the festival, but have been invited to perform.
According to TMZ, the festival will still sell VIP seats in an effort to attempt to recoup some of the costs for the event.
