INDIANAPOLIS (CelebrityAccess) – A Cardi B concert scheduled to take place at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Tuesday evening (July 30) was canceled 30 minutes before showtime due to security concerns.
The venue took to Twitter to announce the news, saying that the show was postponed to September 11 and that additional details would follow.
Late Tuesday, Cardi tweeted: “Dear Indiana people I’m so sorry for today. I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show. Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first.”
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the safety concerns, tweeting that officials “were notified of an unverified threat to the artist and the artist canceled this evening’s concert – there is no immediate threat to public safety, this not an active incident.”
