(CelebrityAccess) — Folk-rock legend Bob Dylan announced he’s hitting the road this Autumn for a North American tour.

The tour, featuring Dylan and his band, kicks off on Oct. 11th at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California, with shows scheduled across the U.S. before the tour wraps on Nov. 21st at the Met in Philadelphia.

Dylan is touring behind his comprehensive career retrospective The Rolling Thunder Revue, which comes as a massive 14 CD box set that includes five complete live performances from Dylan’s historic 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue Tour, as well as recently discovered rehearsals at New York’s S.I.R. studios and the Seacrest Motel in Falmouth, MA.

Launched in the fall of 1975, Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue eschewed conventional wisdom at the time to feature Dylan and company playing at a number of small and unusual venues, often with little advertising or prior notice for the show. The concerts featured extraordinarily long sets, often more than four hours long, which captured Dylan at a zenith of his musical career.

The tour was recently the subject of a Netflix doc by noted film auteur Martin Scorsese
