LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Ticketmaster has renewed its official partnership with the San Jose Earthquakes soccer club.
Aimed at streamlining and enhancing the fan experience, the renewed deal will see the Earthquakes deploying Ticketmaster Presence, Ticketmaster’s latest digital ticketing and venue access control platform, at the 18,000-seat Avaya Stadium ahead of their 2020 season.
With Presence, Earthquakes fans will see quicker venue entry and personalized communications tailored specifically to their preferences and interests. They’ll also be able to access their digital tickets on their mobile device, download them to their digital wallet, and easily buy or sell tickets directly on their mobile device or Ticketmaster.com. Additionally, Ticketmaster says that fans will be protected against ticket fraud through a security enhancement feature called SafeTix. SafeTix utilizes NFC tap and go technology and rotating barcodes that refresh every 15 seconds to prevent the replication and sale of fake tickets.
“The San Jose Earthquakes are committed to leveraging the best technologies available for their fans, and we’re proud to continue our partnership to deliver on that promise at Avaya Stadium,” said Clay Luter, EVP and Co-Head of Sports for Ticketmaster, North America. “With Ticketmaster Presence and SafeTix, Earthquakes fans will be provided with the kind of personalization we all want, tailored to their specific interests and needs, while we work hard to eradicate fraud through our latest innovations in anti-counterfeit technology.”
“As we evaluated our ticketing platform moving forward, we prioritized fan experience and finding the most secure way to buy, sell and transfer tickets,” added Earthquakes Chief Operating Officer Jared Shawlee. “We believe that with the exciting product enhancements Ticketmaster will introduce in 2020, Quakes fans will enjoy a streamlined process to watch their favorite team play.”
In 2017, Avaya Stadium won the National Recycling Coalition’s Outstanding Business Leadership Award for their significant environmental protection efforts, including utilizing on-site gardens, offering reusable cups and bags, promoting junk pickup and recycling, and emphasizing hazardous waste disposal. The stadium also utilizes 882 solar panels that generate enough power to make it net-zero on gameday.
