TORONTO (CelebrityAccess) — Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment and Warner Music Canada announced that they have extended their partnership 2019-2020 season.
The partnership is centered on a set of branded music playlists, curated by Warner Music, for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors.
Included in the offerings is the flagship ‘Official Playlist’ of the Toronto Raptors, which gained traction during the team’s 2019 playoff run, ultimately hitting number 1 on the Apple Music Playlist Chart on June 14, the day after the team won the NBA championship.
As part of the partnership, Warner and MLSE will team up for promotions that may include athletes and/or influential fans serving as guest curators for some of the playlists in the series.
As well, special events, offers, and integrations connected to the program will be announced over the course of the 2019-2020 seasons for the two teams.
“We have long known that sports fans are amongst the most engaged music consumers, and we wanted to provide a way to offer fans of these two iconic franchises the music they seek out and enjoy in one convenient package,” said Steve Kane, President of Warner Music Canada.
The bespoke playlists are also available on the individual Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs fan apps.
