NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – High profile public relations firm Shore Fire Media has been acquired by Dolphin Entertainment.
The acquisition, which was first reported by Variety, will see Shore Fire join Dolphin’s growing PR and marketing portfolio that already includes 42West, The Door and Viewpoint Creative.
Founded by Marilyn Laverty, Shore Fire has grown to become a major player in music PR, with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville, and representing clients including Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, and Carole King, as well as entertainment companies such as music streamer Qobuz.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome Marilyn Laverty and the entire Shore Fire team into our family,” Dolphin Entertainment CEO Bill O’Dowd told Variety. “Shore Fire’s reputation and relationships in the music industry are simply unparalleled. With Marilyn and her team joining us, we feel like the holidays have come early this year. We could not be more excited.”
“We’re delighted to join this great group of media professionals,” added Laverty. “Bill O’Dowd is a leader with tremendous vision and we look forward to the many opportunities that this will provide for our staff and for everyone we represent.”
According to Variety, Shore Fire will continue to operate as a standalone entity, with Laverty continuing to serve as president of the organization. As well, Mark Satlof, Matt Hanks and Rebecca Shapiro will continue as Senior Vice Presidents at the PR firm, Variety said.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
