Pennsylvania Expands Capacity Limits

HARRISBURG,  PA (CelebrityAccess) — Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf revealed plans to increase gathering-size limits for events in the state based on a new formula that takes into account a venue’s capacity instead of the blanket capacity limits the state had previously imposed.

Thew new limits announced on Tuesday allow for indoor events that are limited to 10% to 20% of capacity, and outdoor events of 15% to 25% of capacity, based on the venue’s size.

The maximums are still capped to 3,750 individuals indoors and 7,500 for outdoor events.

The gathering limits also include artists, staff, athletes, coaches and venue workers.

Under the new capacity guidelines, venues are still required to comply with six-foot social distancing limits, mask wearing requirements and other safety measures such as staggered and timed event entry and exits, and sanitary stations.

“Pennsylvanians must continue to social distance and wear masks as we prepare to fight the virus through the fall and winter. Regardless of the size of an event or gathering, those things are still imperative to stopping the spread of COVID. We know everyone has sacrificed in many ways and today’s announcement reflects a gradual adjustment to our lives as we learn how we can do things safely until we have a cure, or an effective vaccine is widely available,” Gov. Wolf said in a news release on Tuesday.
