FRANKLIN, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Kathy Smardak, co-founder of Outback Concerts, died on October 11th in Franklin, Tennessee. She was 60.
According to a statement from Outback Concerts, Smardak passed at Williamson Medical Center after a short illness. Additional details about the cause of death were not disclosed.
A native of Lynchburg, VA, Kathy attended Brookville High School before graduating from Virginia Western Community College.
She married Outback Co-founder Michael Smardak in 1992 and the couple has two daughters, Sasha Amara Karina Smardak and Natalya Kristina Smardak.
Kathy and Michael launched Outback Concerts, a successful, independent Nashville-based concert promotion company, in 1997.
While graveside services will be private, there will be a celebration of life on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at The Stone House at Arrington Vineyards in Tennessee.
