NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – Twitch co-founder Justin Kan and artist manager/investor Nicholas Parasram have teamed up to launch Thin Ice Entertainment, a new talent management platform focused on nurturing emerging music artists and producers. Thin Ice Entertainment promises to offer a wide range of services, including talent management, publishing, distribution, and a technology incubation lab aimed at helping artists develop their intellectual property (IP).

The collaboration between Kan and Parasram stems from their work together at Goat Capital, a venture fund Kan founded in 2020. Goat Capital has incubated and invested in early-stage tech companies like Stash and Rye. Parasram, who previously founded Sonar Projects, brings a strong background in managing creators and securing content deals for startups, while Kan, best known for co-founding Twitch (acquired by Amazon for $970 million in 2014), brings deep expertise in technology and a passion for electronic music. Kan’s love for the music scene is evident in his role as a DJ and co-founder of the Burning Man sound camp Titanic’s End.

Together, they aim to build innovative artist businesses and help creatives expand their careers into IP development. Kan emphasized the importance of helping artists become successful entrepreneurs, stating that Thin Ice Entertainment will focus on providing the tools and support to help artists “build innovative businesses and IP alongside their artist careers.”

Thin Ice Entertainment has launched with an impressive roster that includes:

Stryv is an electronic music act whose summer hit “Move” has amassed over 1 billion views across TikTok and Instagram. It held the top spot on the Billboard Afrobeats chart for three consecutive weeks and recently received a remix from Camila Cabello.
Marcus van Wattum, a veteran producer who has worked with superstars like David Guetta, Sia, Britney Spears, and G-Eazy. With over 3 billion streams and 25x platinum certification, van Wattum is a three-time Buma Award winner in pop and electronic music.
– Nigerian producer Zone, signed to Avex USA Publishing, whose work includes collaborations with Jason Derulo, Sexxy Red, Ludmilla, and Lay Bankz.
RE\MIND, another rising star in the production space, also joins the Thin Ice roster.

The company’s mission is characterized by its blend of technology and artistic development. It offers a fresh approach to supporting and growing the careers of emerging artists and producers.
