NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter has filed a motion to dismiss an anonymous lawsuit that accuses him of participating in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl during a party in 2000 hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The filing, filed by Carter’s attorney Alex Spiro, requests the disclosure of the identity of the woman who made the allegation, but who has, so far, remained anonymous.
In the motion, Carter’s attorney argued that attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the woman, has not provided not provided any affidavit, statement, or specific factual information providing a compelling reason for anonymity.
The motion goes on to allege that Buzbee has “a history of targeting celebrities with false allegations of wrongdoing” and states that the case against Carter “is about retaliation against a single target who would not pay.”
As well, the motion argues that Carter “should not defend himself in the brightest spotlight against a prosecutor who hides in complete darkness while making allegations.”
“These allegations are so heinous that I ask you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime on a minor should be locked up, would you agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
