NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – International punk band Gogol Bordello just announced the group’s infamous annual holiday shows, taking New York City on the road this time to the legendary Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and beyond. Inciting sonic forces Puzzled Panther and Grace Bergere from the band’s label Casa Gogol Records will join as support.
Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hütz launched Casa Gogol Records last year with the release of the collaborative song “Solidarity” by Gogol Bordello feat. Bernard Sumner (New Order).
Hütz and Sergey Ryabtsev from the band are also kicking off the Scream of My Blood film tour on October 27, engaging in Q&A sessions and spirited live performances following the film screenings. Scream of My Blood is an intimate portrait of Hütz as a Ukrainian immigrant, chronicling the rise of NYC punk band Gogol Bordello and his defiant return to Ukraine. The Vice doc premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last June, earning a Special Jury Mention for Best New Documentary Director Award for Nate Pommer and Eric Weinrib. The film is produced by Nate Pommer and Beverly Chase.
