LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Following the success of the inaugural Sphere XO Student Design Challenge this year, Sphere Entertainment, operator of the Sphere Las Vegas, announced the return of the event for 2025.
The contest, a collaboration between Sphere, the Clark County School District and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites students of all ages from the Clark County school system to submit themed artwork that may be selected to display on the surface of The Sphere in Downtown Las Vegas.
For the 2025 edition of the XO Student Design Challenge, Clark County students are tasked wth creating artwork based on an Earth Day theme, encouring them to think creatively about the intersection of art, technology, and the environment.
Artwork submissions from eight winners ranging from elementary school through college will be selected through a combination of public voting and a panel of judges.
Students whose art is selected by the process will have their creative work displayed on the surface of the Exosphere. High school and UNLV winners will each earn $10,000 scholarships from Sphere, while elementary and middle school students will earn a $10,000 donation from Sphere for their school’s art program and tickets for their entire school to attend The Sphere Experience.
