AMES, IA (CelebrityAccess) — Venue operator VenuWorks announced the appointment of industry veteran Scott Smith to the newly created role of National Director of Operations, Production, and Safety.
In his new role at VenuWorks, Smith will collaborate with local operations leaders to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards, managing facility infrastructure, developing standard operating procedures, and enhancing risk management.

He joins VenuWorks after a stint as Director of Operations at the Swiftel Center. During his tenure at the venue, he managed events from concerts and conventions to sporting events, and led a team that earned national recognition.
