SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess) — The 2025 edition of SF Sketchfest, the long-running Bay Area comedy festival, will take place from Thursday, January 16, through Sunday, February 2, at venues across San Francisco.
The multi-day comedy fest will feature both established comedians and rising stars with sketch and stand-up comedy, along with all-star reunions, tributes, podcasts, live music, and more.
Tribute honorees for 2025 include actor, comedian, and author Albert Brooks, who will join Kevin Pollak for an in-depth interview, and Tim Curry, who will be hosted by local drag legend Peaches Christ. Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along), JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Richard Kind (Inside Out) will also be featured in interviews.
Special music and comedy events include Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers band featuring Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia; the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band with Ken Marino and David Wain; and Jonathan Coulton and Paul & Storm.
The 45th anniversary of the legendary comedy film Airplane! will also be honored with a special live read featuring co-creators Jerry and David Zucker, original stars Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty, and surprise guests.
The film Napoleon Dynamite will mark its 20th anniversary with a live read featuring stars Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, Jon Gries, Tina Majorino, Diedrich Bader, and more.
The casts of celebrated comedy shows Childrens Hospital and Futurama will reunite during Sketchfest, and the 50th anniversary of The Groundlings will be celebrated with an all-star show.
Live podcasts include Naked Lunch with Phil Rosenthal and David Wild, featuring special guest Paul Reiser; Bad Dates with Joel Kim Booster and guests including Spike Einbinder and Dave Mizzoni; The Doughboys with Mike Mitchell and Nick Wiger; Judge John Hodgman; Endless Honeymoon with Moshe Kasher and Natasha Leggero; The Bechdel Cast; Hello From the Magic Tavern; The Neighborhood Listen; Doug Loves Movies; The Flop House; Go Fact Yourself; StraightioLab; Wrong Answers Only, and more.
The stand-up comedy lineup includes Maria Bamford, Chris Fleming, Joel Kim Booster, Dulcé Sloan, Rhys Darby, Robby Hoffman, Punkie Johnson, Aparna Nancherla, The Sklar Brothers, Nore Davis, Josh Gondelman, Alison Leiby, Kate Willett, Hampton Yount, Nori Reed, Todd Barry, Todd Glass, and many more. The SF Sketchfest Dozen, a yearly spotlight of 12 top comedians, features Sophie Buddle, Brittany Carney, Carmen Christopher, Marie Faustin, Roz Hernandez, Kevin Iso, Bo Johnson, Rachel Kaly, Saul Trujillo, Ikechukwu Ufomadu, Eagle Witt, and Sabrina Wu.
