NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) has named Richard Bengloff as president, succeeding interim president/Thirsty Ear Recordings founder Peter Gordon.
Bengloff was most recently the CFO/VP of finance and administration for public radio station WNYC, and will assume his duties as the head of the New York-based indie label trade group as of today, Wednesday, January 10th.
Bengloff brings a mix of nonprofit and music industry experience to A2IM. He joined WNYC in 2005, previously holding numerous music industry positions at Elektra Records, Relativity Records and RED Distribution, and Sony Music Distribution.
