Adrienne Arsht Names Two New Board Members


MIAMI, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -– The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County has named to new members to the Performing Arts Center Trust (PACT) board of direcors: Attorney and Miami-Dade County School Board Member Raquel Regalado and Florida State Senator René García.

Raquel Regalado is a Miami-Dade County Public School Board Member representing District 6 and was appointed to the PACT Board of Directors by the School Board. She serves as Chair of the Board’s Innovation, Efficiency and Governmental Relations Committee as well as a member of the Instructional Excellence and Community Engagement Committee. She is also an attorney at Florida law firm Malloy & Malloy, PA, where she specializes in patent and trademark litigation.

Regalado, the daughter of the City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, hosts a daily Spanish language radio program on La Poderosa, 670 AM, dedicated to informing listeners about local politics, education and social services. Her latest project, “Esta Semana con Raquel,” a weekly television show with political and news analysis, airs on Telemiami throughout the state of Florida.

René García is a Florida State Senator representing District 40 who was appointed to the PACT Board of Directors by the Miami-Dade County Legislative Delegation. Senator García is a former member of the Florida House of Representatives and the Hialeah City Council. Senator García is currently the Chairman of the Healthcare Regulation Committee. Garcia also serves on the following committees: Agriculture, Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services Appropriations, Governmental Oversight and Accountability, Reapportionment and Transportation.
