BIRMINGHAM, AL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Comedian Jeff Foxworthy and AEG Live have become the latest tenants to make plans to open shop in the proposed downtown entertainment district in downtown Birmingham.
Both Foxworthy and AEG have signed letters of intent. Foxworthy intends to open a restaurant but more interestingly, AEG has signed on to open a "black box" or variable configuration theatre in the district, the Birmingham News reported.
The proposed $42 million entertainment district would be built adjacent to the property under consideration for the $550 million Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex that AEG has already contracted to promote at. The new theatre would be complimentary to the BJCC Stadium and provide flexibility for AEG to promote events by smaller acts in the market. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
