CUPERTINO, CA(Hypebot) – Apple has settled what could have been a very expensive lawsuit alleging that it charged customers for downloading the same song more than once. The plaintiffs, Robert Herskowitz and Phoebe Juel had sought class action status to represent customers who had made repeated downloads of the same song from iTunes and discovered that Apple charged them each time.
Few details of the pre-trial settlement were released except that each party will cover their own legal cost, and the plaintiffs waived their right to appeal the judges recent order denying class certification, according to Courthouse News,
