As Tour Wraps, Foo Fighters Go On Indefinite Hiatus

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On Saturday, Foo Fighers frontman Dave Grohl told the crowd at the Global Citizen Festival that the band didn't have any dates left on their current tour and that "this [show] is it."

"Without making a big deal out of it, we don't have any shows after this. This is it, man. Honestly I don't know when we're gonna do it again…and this is the perfect place to do it," Grohl told the crowd of 60,000 from the stage.

While Grohl's words do have something of an air of finality to them, later in the show, he told the crowd: "I don't know when, but we'll see you again."

Grohl had made similar comments at the end of August during the band's performance at the Reading Festival, saying that this tour would be the band's "last show for a long time." However, an unnamed source later told the press that the band was just taking some time off after touring. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
