BOISE, ID (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Boise’s downtown venue has changed from the Bank of America Centre to the Qwest Arena, following a 10-year agreement with Qwest Communications International Inc.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but the lengthy naming rights pact also includes a five-year option after the initial 10 are up, according to the Idaho Statesman.
The 6,000-capacity arena joins the ranks of the Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and Qwest Field in Seattle, Washington.
Glenn Stanford, who was named President of the Idaho Steelheads hockey team and the Qwest Arena this week, said there will be major upgrades to the arena over the coming weeks.
“Hopefully, by the end of November, people will see a complete change,” he told the paper. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
