(CelebrityAccess) — Jeremy Lascelles' London-based Artist management company Blue Raincoat Music has launched a music publishing division, Blue Raincoat Songs.
The new venture, which will focus on generating revenue from a song's sale, live performance, or through sync licensing, launches with Australian songwriter Mike Chapman as its first signing.
Lascelles told the Evening Standard that he hopes to eventually create a full service management company, offering artists of all genres their rights and musical output.
The company is also considering a record label in the future.
“It’s good to be working with Jeremy again,” Chapman told the Evening Standard. “He gets that when you write to a formula your songs don’t have a real lasting value. I look forward to getting stuck in.”
