TORONTO, ONTARIO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Canadian troubadour Bruce Cockburn was forced to pull the plug on a planned 13-date tour of the Canadian maritimes and Quebec City due to illness.
Cockburn was admitted to an Ontario hospital with a case of pneumonia that left the singer with a partially collapsed lung. While he is expected to fully recover, he was advices by doctors to take a break.
"I'm very disappointed to have to cancel this tour and know how inconvenient it is to many but I’m just unable to perform in this condition. I hope we will be able to reschedule all of the dates in the not too distant future. I’m looking forward to getting back to each of the cities and towns on the tour as soon as possible." Cockburn said in a statement posted on his website.
As of yet, there is no word on rescheduling plans for the affected dates.
