CEO Serletic Leaves Virgin Records

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Virgin Records chairman/CEO Matt Serletic is leaving his post at the company effective immediately.

David Munns, chairman/CEO of parent company EMI Music North America, will assume the position until a successor is named, a statement released by EMI said.

Billboard reports that when asking if former Atlantic Records Group chairman/CEO Jason Flom would be named as Serletic’s replacement, an EMI representative referred to the statement and said, “a successor would be announced in due course.”

“Matt is one of the most gifted producers in the business today,” Munns said in the statement. “He’s done a tremendous amount in the first phase of reinventing Virgin.”
